Tour Point 15

(Photos 50, 51) Soon you’ll come upon rue des Archives. Looking to your left, you can see more brasseries and in the distance, the famous BHV. If you need anything for the home, this department store will have it. In the basement you’ll find the most extensive hardware store that you’ll ever see. Along the way to the BHV is the “Daily Monop” which has a nice selection of prepared foods for takeout along with two cafes. At this corner, the Agora Press has a very extensive French and foreign (including English) magazine selection. Also at this corner, the "Open" is the most popular gay bar in the neighborhood. If you are missing that little gift for your dog or cat that you left at home, stop by Moustaches.

(Photos 52, 53) We’ll take a right here and walk up rue des Archives. Along the way, you’ll pass various stores and the headquarters for renown architect Renzo Piano, who designed the Pompidou Center among other famous buildings. Their workshop is visible from the street and is amazing as you can watch people create "maquettes" (models) of future museums and other public buildings.
