(Photos 30, 31) You now come upon rue Payenne again. On your left on the corner is the nearest “La Poste” (post office), which also has the closest ATM. Let’s make a right and take a short trip down this street although we will return back to rue des Francs Bourgeois afterwards. As we walk down the street, you’ll pass the gardens of the Musée Cognac Jay on your left followed by the Swedish Cultural Center.

(Photos 32, 33) On your right, there is a quiet, older park called Square Cain. At the end of the street, you will once again see "Le Sevigné". If you are thirsty, perhaps stop for a "Coca" or Iced Tea (yes, they do have it but they prepare it in an unusual fashion!). Turning back around (or going down rue de Sevigné), let’s return to rue des Francs Bourgeois.
